Projects
Below is a list of my most significant shows in the order that they were produced. You can access a short video clip after each listing.
Trash Collectors: The Dignity of all Work
This was my first film. I shot it as a one-person production after completing
my first two classes in video production at the Colorado Film School.
I bought a Sony VX-1000 and went to work.
The film tells the story of one of the last family run trash collection businesses in the US.
My father owned a small trash collection business, which was the inspiration for this piece.

Images of India
While working as a production
assistant on a Visionaries shoot in India, I snuck the occasional shot
for myself. Later I put this footage to good use by editing together a short
piece about the cameraperson on the show to complete an assignment
for a course on editing.

Center for Addictive Behavior
This is the thesis
project for my Master's degree. I learned that addiction is a disease
that strikes in some very unexpected places.
I felt like the fly on the wall during this scene.

Community Advocates for People's Choice
My second
Visionaries show, shot in Whittier, California. A great group committed to
helping those with disabilities. I did not know that the Executive
Director of the organization was himself disabled until the first day
of the shoot when he greeted me in his wheelchair.

hope for South Central Los Angeles.

EARTH University
My first international show for
Visionaries. EARTH is such an amazing place. Students study
agriculture, entrepreneurship, community service, and respect for the
environment. The schools graduates are doing great things for Latin
America.

Alaska Wilderness League
Most of the action to save
Alaska's wilderness takes place in Washington DC. This is a story
about the power of committed citizens to impact public policy. I
learned a lot about the inner workings of Washington on this shoot.

Colorado Rocky Mountain School
After this shoot
everyone on the crew said the same thing. We want to do high school
over again at a school like this. Again, young people who are going to
do amazing work in the world.
